Third stage – Porto Torres/Alghero

The stage is on average long, it is not demanding and inside it contains a couple of the best pearls that the entire Flamingo’s Roads route can show.

The road is flat in the first part up to Stintino and the famous La Pelosa beach but then you can go down to the sea and to the abandoned mines of Argentiera da Palmadula.

The route then continues along the coast of the Conte Bay until you reach Capo Caccia and its marine panoramas over the entire Gulf of Corallo: you can park your bike and climb the 650 steps in the granite rock that descend sheer to the sea up to the Grotta di Neptune!

After a possible visit, you resume pedaling towards Alghero passing right in front of the Nuraghe Palmavera and some of the innumerable beaches of the Catalan city.
